A Christmas Cookbook

From the same team who brought us Booze and Cocina Mexicana comes another brightly-colored cookbook. This one is obviously all about classic Christmas recipes and includes winter favorites like roast goose, turkey gravy, vichyssoise, and pfeffernüsse. Bruce Butte's groovy illustrations are about as late 1970s as you could ever hope for. So on point. Enjoy!

Jim Beam holiday stickers

Groovy holiday stickers from a Jim Beam magazine ad. Show your friends and family you put some thought and care into that gift and weren't just trying to carelessly feed their alcohol addiction. Not sure who the artist is on these. Has anyone seen these before? No year was indicated on the ad, but I'm guessing this is from 1970.

My buddy Jerry Campbell mailed this in to me. If you're reading, thanks Jerry!

Merry Christmas from Prisunic

It's a little early in the year for season's greetings, but I couldn't wait to show this 1971 Christmas poster from French furniture store Prisunic.

Opening in the late 1960s in France, Prisunic was an ultra-modern furniture and plastic pop-art home objects store aimed at the French youth. Next week marks the 40th anniversary of the first ever Prisunic catalog and will be commemorated with a gallery exhibition of Prisunic furniture and catalogs, opening September 5th at VIA gallery in Paris.
