Wow, it's been a long time since I last posted! Here are four Israeli stamps for you to enjoy. Unfortunately I track down exactly what year these were released, but they seem to be from the mid to late 1970s. Enjoy!

Celebrating space-aged architecture in Israel... at least that's what I think this one is about. I have a hard time reading Hebrew without the vowels in place. If anyone has more information on this stamp and/or the building featured in it, please chime in!

Thanks to Karen from Design Related who was able to translate the text on the stamp. She let me know it's a Memorial Day issue honoring The Golani Brigade Memorial site and museum.

In honor of all the insane yardwork going down at my house right now, here's a stamp commemorating agriculture and celebrating the tractor drivers all across Israel. The curvy serifs in the green Hebrew ישראל text fits so well with the curvy green highlight shapes on the tractor and the driver's sleeve. Love it.

Here's an uncut sheet of stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of Israel's Institute of Agricultural Research.

Three stamp set from Israel garnering support against pollution, specifically of the air, water, and noise varieties. I love the tiny illustrations in the lower tear-off portions which reference the larger graphics and show what a pollution-free environment would look like.

A couple of years ago, I decided that Google had made phone books obsolete. They're clunky, quicky-outdated, and waste paper, and are the bane of an apartment lobby's existence. Well, phone book company, let me make a deal with you. If you can start making phone books look like this again, I'll take back everything I ever said about you.

Philately Fridays: Israel 1982

Stamp commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Jewish women's organization Hadassah. I wonder if this whole 3D construction was put together solely for the stamp. I just picked up a new-ish book from Victionary called Stereographics that shows more contemporary examples of using 3D design in 2D formats. Definitely worth checking out!

Here's a set of 5 Israeli stamps to commemorate the new year in 1967. Lots of cool patterns happening in these decorative depictions of the Torah.
